Making My Favorite Winter Drink: Chai Tea Latte

I love chai tea lattes! It is my go to drink when I go to cafes because coffee makes my heart beat incredibly fast. Also, they are so tasty and yummy and noommmm. This is my personal recipe, so if I make it wrong, I am sorry. I just make it that way. So here we goooo!



Karel's Chai Tea Latte
Serves 2 - because I double brew my tea always

1 serving of chai tea (your preference. I currently have Adagio's Chai Masala)
dash of milk preference (I use almond or coconut milk)
your favorite mug

Directions:
  1. Boil water & steam milk. (I use a hot water pot that boils water real quickly and I steam my milk by heating it in a small saucepan. Keep an eye on it, making sure it doesn't bubble over. I just bought a milk steamer just for my chai tea lattes, so I am so excited for that to come in the mail!) 
  2. Put your chai tea in a tea infuser. Put in your favorite mug. Soak it with a little bit of cold water. (I always do this with all my teas. Someone once told me that when you put hot water over your tea without soaking it with cold, it burns your tea. I don't know but I do it anyway.) 
  3. Once your water is boiled, fill your mug (with your tea) half way or a little less than half. And steep it. OR fill mug all the way and split it into two mugs so you can make two servings.
  4. Fill the rest of the way with your steamed milk. If you have a frother, you can do that but I don't like froth so I don't do that.
  5. Put on your fluffiest socks and drink your yummy drink!
