Wellness Tea


I got sick last month for quite a while. This tea has been passed on to me by an old co-worker and I have added my twist to it. I drink this tea about three to four times a day to relieve a scratchy throat but the ingredients also help boost your immune system. Give this tea a try when you are sick or feeling like giving your immune system a boost.

Place the following ingredients in a mason jar or large tea infuser:
  • 1cm chunk of ginger (peeled, cut into little cubes)
  • 3-4 mint leaves
  • 2-3 slices of lemon (thin slices)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (adjust accordingly, this makes it spicy) 
  • 1 teaspoon raw honey
I steep my tea in boiling water for a long time (at least 10-15 minutes) to really infuse the water. I also think it takes a really long time for the water to cool down to drinkable temperature.
