YWK: On Breakups

Breakups. I have been there. It sucks. It is absolutely terrible. But it's okay. Let yourself feel the hurt and the sad. Then realize that you have a choice to be happy. Find things that make you happy. Focus on yourself and your wellness. Hard time will only make you stronger and think of it as a learning experience.

When I was going through my major break up, I was so hurt. I felt betrayed and I felt so stuck. But then I realized that being stuck in a bad mindset is dangerous and I have the power to choose happiness. So, I let myself feel the hurt and feel the sadness and then let it go and got over the negativity after two weeks.

What if this is the person you want to spend your life with? Should I wait? Well this is what I think... Respect the time to focus on yourself. Take a break. Truly figure out if that relationship is something you want to fully invest your time in. Because if it is not worth it, why waste time? If waiting feels good in your heart then do it. If there is even a slight chance of hesitation, move on. Remember, if it does not work out, you are losing a person who doesn't love you. Your partner, on the other hand, is losing something more. They are losing someone who loves them.

Overall, do not ignore the hurt feels. Let yourself feel. Observe how it feels within your body. Then, move on. You are a wonderful being. If a person cannot see that, they do not deserve you. You deserve someone who fully loves all of you. Why wait?! The time is now. Focus on bettering yourself and your true happiness. Love always finds a way. (:
